WILL OF JOHN QUINE OF BALLACHRINK - 1874

 

This is the last Will and testament of John Quine of Ballachrink in the parish of Braddan

I give and bequeath the whole of my furniture in and about my house at the time of my decease to my wife Jane to be enjoyed by her in specie during her life except the bed and bedstead in the parlour loft which I give to my daughter Esther Hannah

I give devise and bequeath all the rest residue and remainder of my personal property and effects to my Trustee hereinafter named Upon Trust to convert and get in such personal estate and invest the monies to arise therefrom on the security of real estate in the Isle of Man - and upon Further Trust to pay to my wife the annual income of the said Trust Estate or the securities whereon the same shall be invested during her life And upon the decease of my said wife to pay the pecuniary legacies following namely - To my daughter Catherine Cowin the sum of thirty pounds To my daughter Elizabeth Crye the sum of thirty pounds To my daughter Mary Ann Kelly the sum of thirty pounds To my daughter Esther Hannah the sum of one hundred and thirty pounds To my son John Quine the sum of five pounds To my son Benjamin Samuel the sum of five pounds and in Further Trust to set aside the sum of obne hundred pounds and to pay over the interest thereof annually to my granddaughter Catherine Margaret Quiggin during her natural life commencing from the death of my said wife and upon her decease to pay over the said sum of one hundred pounds to and among the children of the said Catherine Margaret Quiggin living at her decease share and share alike and the issue of any child then deceased such issue to take only their parents share - and in case of the death of the said Catherine Margaret Quiggin without issue then the said sum of one hundred pounds is to fall to and belong to the residuary legatee - I nominate constitute and appoint my son Thomas Edmund Quine sole Trustee Executor and Residuary Legatee of this my Last Will and Testament lastly revoking all former wills by me at any time heretofore made and I declare this to be my last will and testament -

In witness whereof I have hereunto subscribed my name this fourteenth day of November one thousand eight hundred and seventy four.

Signed published and declared by the testator as and for his last will and testament in our presence who in his presence at his request and in presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses
